Welcome to Cville Village!
Do you need more help at home as you get older? You’re not alone. CVille Village is a volunteer-driven nonprofit that can bring that support to you – right where you live.
Our Mission
To help older adults in the Charlottesville area maintain independence, mobility, and social connections within a mutually supportive community of members and volunteers.
Our Services
Our trained, vetted volunteers provide non-medical services, including but not limited to:
- Rides
- Errands
- Computer/device help
- Simple chores indoors or out
- Small repairs
- Friendly visits
The services are FREE, for annual dues of $150 per person (couples and need-based discounts are available). As a Member or Member/Volunteer, you can request up to three services per week at no cost to you.
How it works
- Call the Cville Village office to submit your service request, or log in with your email address and password to cville.helpfulvillage.com.
- Volunteers who offer the service you’re requesting will see your request, and if one of them is available at the time you’ve specified, the volunteer will select your request. A match is made!
- The matched volunteer will contact you to schedule your appointment. Service provided!
- Meanwhile, you may also have made a new friend.
